Who We Are

Olivier Duret is an acclaimed solo artist celebrated for his unique blend of Kompa, Afro, and R&B music. Drawing from his rich cultural heritage and diverse musical influences, Olivier creates songs that resonate deeply with audiences around the globe. His innovative sound and heartfelt lyrics have established him as a leading voice in contemporary Haitian music.

Born and raised in Haiti, Olivier Duret (Oli Duret) is the middle of three children. At a young age, Oli was singing endlessly everywhere and all the time. As a teen, Oli started doing music with his long time friend Michael Benjamin (Mikaben) until each moved for their college studies. In 2001, Oli started working with a group called “Kai” mostly for the fun of it since they were all in college, doing mostly alternative and rock music but got somewhat some traction when some of their songs were leaked. When that adventure concluded, Oli was invited to be apart of T-Vice.

 In 2003, Oli joined the Haitian group called T-Vice, where his contribution as lead vocalist helped bring the group to new level of success. Oli Duret earned the respect of his fans with his HIT songs Santim Ta Kriye, Toi et Moi and of course Fem Vole from the Welcome to Haiti album.

In 2013, Oli started his solo career and released Danre Ra with a spectacular video. Soon after the unforgettable song Ma Cherie Je T'aime was released along with All of Me a cover from Grammy artist John Legend. Further earning Olivier, the respect of his peers and his loyal fans as one of the greatest singer/songwriters in the arena of the Haitian Music Industry. Oli decided to work with a group called Dat7, which made hits such as Se Konsa and Je Veux M’envoler. Oli yearned to make a bold reflection on Haitian music to the world. Staying determined and steadfast for his love for music, Oli as a solo artist writes and performs with more freedom to explore different avenues genres, beats, rhythms, and collaborative artists.
